So Elie and I were driving to her Spanish class the other day talking about dreams and we get on the subject of Santa Clause which eventually leads to the subject of God. Elie is constantly asking questions that I have no idea how to answer when it comes to spiritual things. Partly because well, they are hard questions and partly because she is just not mature enough to even understand the vocabulary let alone the concepts. So... somehow we got on the subject of the Holy Spirit. I told her that when you ask Jesus to be your friend forever then the Holy Spirit lives in side of you. Elie was thoughtful and then said "I want that. I want Jesus to be my friend forever and the Holy Spirit live with me. How do I do that" (That is almost verbatim by the way) So I told her how to pray and she prayed all by herself and accept Jesus. It was very sweet and I was very proud.

What I did today

So, remember that GIANT zucchini from my garden? I did some baking today to get the thing off the kitchen counter and it took EIGHT loaves of zucchini bread. That's right. EIGHT. Plus, my mom baked four loaves from the same zucchini earlier in the week.



(I realize that there aren't actually eight loaves here, but two were actually muffins. And this picture was taken post-consumption of some muffins and half a loaf.) The muffins and two loaves were actually Chocolate Zucchini bread which was very yummy.
